A TRANSFORMATIVE REFLECTION

U-Turn
Need Of The Hour

We spend our lives running, chasing success, managing identities and searching for peace in all the wrong directions. U-Turn…. Need of the hour is an invitation to stop, look within, and reconsider the very direction of that journey. Drawing on yogic philosophy, picking reference from Bhagavad Gita and decades of lived experience, the author offers a quietly transformative perspective: that most of our suffering stems not from circumstances but from the direction in which we face them. Simple in language yet profound in insight, this book does not prescribe a new path; it simply asks you to turn around.

THE MIND BEHIND THE MESSAGE

Meet The Author

Prasad R.V.S.

Born in Bangalore on 1 May 1966, Ramaswamy Venkata Subramanya Prasad—widely known as RVS Prasad—grew up in a humble multilingual household, speaking Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. After losing both parents at the age of ten, he was raised by his maternal uncle, an experience that instilled in him resilience, self-reliance, and a deep understanding of life's challenges.

Holding a Bachelor's degree along with a qualification in Computer Programming, he joined ITI Limited, a public sector undertaking, and dedicated nearly four decades to public service. Throughout his career, he gained extensive experience across Planning, Human Resources, Procurement, Customer Service, and Finance, eventually retiring as a Finance Officer in April 2026.

Beyond his professional life, RVS Prasad finds inspiration in reading, travelling, and solo motorcycle journeys. These moments of reflection and solitude have greatly influenced his outlook on life and the ideas explored in his writing.

A devoted family man, married with two children, he has long been a thoughtful observer of human struggles and aspirations. Drawn to yoga, self-inquiry, and spiritual discourse, he often searched for answers to the questions and challenges he witnessed around him. When those answers remained elusive, he chose to explore them through writing.

U-Turn: Need Of The Hour is the outcome of that journey—not a sermon or a set of instructions, but a sincere sharing of insights gathered through experience, contemplation, and a lifelong quest for understanding.

About The Book

U-Turn: Need of the Hour is a quietly radical book for anyone who has ever felt that life — despite all the running, striving, and achieving — still seems to be pointing the wrong way. Drawing on the wisdom of yogic philosophy and the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, the author offers a perspective that is both simple and profound: most of our suffering does not come from our circumstances. It comes from the direction in which we face them.

Written in accessible, unhurried language, this book does not ask you to abandon your life or adopt a new ideology. It simply asks you to stop, look within, and reconsider the very direction of your journey. The U-turn it speaks of is not a retreat — it is the most courageous forward step you can take.

Rooted in decades of lived experience, U-Turn speaks to the restless professional, the searching soul, and every person who has quietly wondered whether the destination they are racing toward is the one they actually want. The answer, the author suggests, was always closer than we thought.

"

This book does not prescribe a new path. It simply asks you to turn around — and in that turning, discover that what you were searching for was never far away.

In Spiritual Worlds there is No Past or Future

June 10, 2026

Generally we take U Turn while we are travelling by vehicles, especially when there is a obstacle in our way due to Accidents, Landslides, Animals Attack, Mob Violence, Riot, Terrorist Attack, by taking U Turn We avoid becoming victims of accidents, Violence, Sometimes we take U turn if there is heavy rain, thunderstorm, lightening, Cyclone, Floods, it is advisable to take U Turn to avoid tragedy, Sometimes taking U Turn is very essential and Useful, U Turn Book by RVS Prasad sir has made me think about myself am i going in the right direction, or should I take the guidance of someone experienced, I am a reader of Bhagavad Gita by ISKCON Founder Acharya His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, His books have Guided me in since past 23+ years, with that knowledge and experience i have published 15 non fiction books in Tamil and English Language, Yes U Turn is Essential Sometimes to Avoid Mishaps, when there is Dead end, End of land and beggining of a ocean, River, Water Bodies, Drainage, Garbage.

U Turn Book reminds me of being alert always in every step of life to avoid dangers, Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita that this world is full of miseries and temporary, he also says in Bhagavad Gita mam hi partha vyapasritya ye pisyuh papa yonayah even the Great Sinners can be liberated from their Distressful situations, Pen is more powerful than Weapons, Books are more powerful than Bombs, I hope U Turn Book will surely be helpful for the reader’s in taking the right direction and right decisions in their life.

RVS Prasad sir says

Many people suffer from depression and problems from clinging to the past and projecting anxiety onto the future. Many flock to astrologers, mostly to learn about the past and future, which are nothing but sticky garbage that is difficult to discard in a hurry.

Our minds always operate in either the past or the future, depriving us of the experience of the present. The present is the only real and happening moment. This is the fundamental difference between humans and other creatures.

My view is that Snakes or Nagas are habituated to take revenge or punish their wrong doers just like Police, Judge Punish the Criminals, even though they may have committed the Crime decades ago, this is done inorder to maintain law and order and administration of justice, Law is equal to All, similarly astrology is equal to All, Astrology is all about time, which doesn’t have any physical form, it slows down everything, rewards accurately, because of Selfishness of certain cruel persons, others suffer, Astrology just assists in the growth of the Universe, Administration of Justice by the Demigods, Creation, Maintenance and Destruction is constant in this world because it is made up of material elements like earth, water, ether, air, fire, mind, intelligence, false ego. However the consciousness is immortal, this Consciousness is called as soul, atma, which is very minute, however their is great Consciousness which is called as guru, adding the element of happiness is what we call Bhagavan or God.

Kingdom of God is Full of Eternality, Full of Knowledge and Full of Happiness we all have to take a U Turn and go back our original home that is the kingdom of God or spiritual worlds. Only in the Spiritual world there is no past or future there is only present

The Path to Inner Freedom

June 10, 2026

In this sincere sharing of lived experience, Prasad R.V.S. presents the ENI framework—”Everything is OK,” “Nothing Matters,” and “I am Responsible”—as a practical tool for inner peace.

The book encourages readers to dismantle the “burden of identity,” those labels like job titles and social status that we wear as heavyweights at every moment. By embracing “nobody-ness,” we find the freedom to act with true leadership and flexibility. Unlike some meditation methods that require sitting in silence, Prasad’s approach helps you maintain a meditative state of mind even while actively performing your daily responsibilities.

The book provides a “balloon-deflating” effect, helping readers physically and psychologically blow out excess stress to feel lighter.

Meaningful read

June 3, 2026

I enjoyed reading this book because it offers a different way of looking at life. Some of the ideas really made me stop and reflect on my own habits and mindset. The writing is simple and you can feel that the author is sharing personal insights rather than just giving advice. A good read if you enjoy thoughtful and meaningful books.
